Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 27, 2026

Fawdaw ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PixelBuddy ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application.

By using PixelBuddy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

Apple HealthKit Data

PixelBuddy integrates with Apple HealthKit (HKHealthStore) to read step count and related activity data from your device.

  • How We Use Health Data: We access your step count solely to calculate your daily goals, update your streak counts, calculate your avatar level/evolution, and display step widgets on your device.
  • Strict Privacy Commitment: We do not use HealthKit data for marketing, advertising, or data mining purposes. Your HealthKit data is never sold, rented, or shared with third-party advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

Local On-Device Storage

  • App Data: Information such as your first launch date, streak counts, unlocked levels, and evolution progress is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and shared App Groups for WidgetKit extension display).
  • Widgets: Step count data is shared locally with your device's WidgetKit extension solely to display step progress on your home screen or lock screen.

Analytics and Usage Data

PixelBuddy does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) or any other information to external servers. All activity calculations occur directly on your device.

2. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

  • We do not transmit your health data, activity data or any other data off your device to external servers.
  • We do not share personal data or any other data with third-party advertisers or tracking networks.
  • The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Data Control and Permissions

You have complete control over the data permissions granted to PixelBuddy:

  • HealthKit Permissions: You can grant or revoke PixelBuddy's access to your step count data at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > PixelBuddy).
  • Data Deletion: Uninstalling PixelBuddy removes all locally cached app data from your device. HealthKit data remains securely stored in your Apple Health app under your direct control.

4. Children’s Privacy

PixelBuddy does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The App relies entirely on local device processing and does not request or collect personal identifying details.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Apple App Store Guidelines. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
